Mytheresa’s journey to become a world leader in digital luxury shopping began 30 years ago when Susanne and Christoph Botschen opened a boutique in Munich. Nine years later, Mytheresa took the bold step of launching one of the world’s first online shops for luxury brands, becoming a pioneer in the industry. Today, online sales account for more than 95 percent of Mytheresa’s business. With double-digit growth rates and loyal customers, Mytheresa is one of the few true success stories in digital luxury shopping.

1987

Susanne and Christoph Botschen establish the Mytheresa multi-brand boutique in Munich, Germany.

2006

Launch of the German and English website Mytheresa as one of the world’s first online boutiques for women’s luxury fashion.

2012

Launch of the French and Italian website.

2013

Mytheresa opens a 10,000m2 logistics center in Kirchheim, Munich.

2015

Launch of the Arabic website.

2016

Launch of the Chinese website.

2017

Mytheresa opens a new logistics center in Heimstetten, Munich, with a rack storage area of 32,000m2 over 4 floors. Launch of the Korean website. Opening of the London office.

2018

Launch of the Spanish website. Opening of the Barcelona office.

2019

Launch of Mytheresa Kids, which represents the most elevated selection of children’s fashion. Opening of the Milan studio.

2020

Launch of Mytheresa Men, which represents the most elevated selection of men’s fashion. Opening of the Mytheresa Men store. Opening of the New York office.

2021

Mytheresa celebrates its debut on the New York Stock Exchange.

2022

Launch of Mytheresa Life, which represents the most elevated selection of home décor and lifestyle products. Opening of the Shanghai office.

2023

Mytheresa opens a new logistics site at Leipzig/Halle Airport with a storage area of 55,000m2.
