Director – Group Accounting & Tax (f/m/d)

To support our Finance team we are searching for a Director – Group Accounting & Tax (f/m/d) to be based in our Munich office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of accounting and tax professionals across multiple international locations
  • Manage the group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation
  • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations
  • Partner with other departments (e.g. group financial reporting, legal, treasury) to ensure alignment with business goals and strategies
  • Main contact for stakeholders in accounting matters, in particular for the tax authorities and auditors

WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree in economics, ideally with a focus on accounting, financial reporting or similar
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience
  • Minimum 4-years’ experience in an auditing firm, preferably one of the ‘Big 4’
  • A qualified tax advisor
  • Deep understanding of international accounting standards (HGB/IFRS) and tax regulations, in addition UK GAAP would be beneficial
  • Experience with DATEV, LucaNet and ERP (MS Business Central) and Finance ERP migration would be a plus
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English and good German skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management
